COMMAND RING WATCH
Rolex conquered the standard of perfection by shifting its orientation to re-establishing the purpose and function of the bezel. Normally, the bezel operates independently of the internal mechanism; and the Ring Command bezel on the Yacht-Master II regatta chronograph works in conjunction with this mechanism. As a mechanical part linked to the movement, the bezel acts as a programmable countdown, thereby setting and synchronizing the timing sequence at the start of the race. Sophisticated in design, simple in use, this is a flawless feature.

WHITE CATCH FACE
The Yacht-Master II is equipped with a new face and hands characteristic of Rolex Specialty models, for enhanced legibility and aesthetics. The watch face now has a triangular hour marker at 12 o’clock and a rectangular hour marker at 6 o’clock for easier reading. A luminescent disc on the hour hand clearly distinguishes it from the minute hand. The Yacht-Master II’s countdown can be programmed for times from 1 to 10 minutes. The programs are remembered by the mechanical mechanism so when reset all settings will return to the previous settings. Upon launch, the countdown can instantly synchronize to match changes in the official race countdown.
